Life Skills for Littles

Enjoy my free library of lessons and worksheets, designed to help you parent with intentionality. Each lesson is packed with fun and thoughtful activities that will get you talking about essential life skills with your little ones.

What’s Inside?

The following activities include a memory verse and some fun, but very simple games and prompts that will encourage intentional conversations. It can be easy to fall into a reactive parenting style instead of a proactive one. We might find ourselves avoiding conversations or just not even considering that these topics should be discussed early on. It’s not until a problem arises that we then feel motivated to talk to our kids and educate them about how to better handle difficult situations. Let’s start early and give them the tools they need BEFORE those tricky situations show up.

As parents it is our responsibility to raise our children up in the way they should go. There are so many lessons to be taught, so many open conversations to be had, and so many future problems to help them navigate through. We are blessed with the opportunity to be the ones to teach, guide, and encourage our kids, but that opportunity will be over all too soon. Not to make you cry, but before you know it they’ll be graduating from high school and planning what’s next for their lives, without you needing to be there. Will you feel confident in their abilities when the time comes to send them off?

The goal of these lesson plans is to cover a wide variety of topics to give you confidence that your kids will in fact be ready to live a God-honoring life that they are proud of. Be prepared to talk about social, emotional, and practical skills such as how to foster healthy relationships, how to set goals and achieve them, and how to maintain a home. Keep it light, keep it fun, and remember that both you and your kids are learning and growing. Happy learning!
